Terms of Service

1. The service

Metadata Remover ("we", "us") lets you view and remove hidden metadata from files. Images are processed locally in your browser; PDF, video and audio files are processed on our servers and deleted immediately, as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Free and paid tiers

• Free: one file at a time, up to 50 MB per file, no account required.
• Subscriptions ($60/year or $10/month) unlock unlimited batch cleaning and files over 50 MB (up to 2 GB per file). Unlimited means unlimited — the only carve-out is abuse: automated scripting that hammers the service or resells it may be throttled to protect other users. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Credit packs are one-time purchases. One credit covers one paid file (a file beyond the free single file in a batch, or a file over 50 MB). Credits never expire, but are non-transferable and are forfeited if your account is terminated for abuse or the related payment is reversed.

Payments are processed by PayPal. Prices are in USD and may change; changes never affect credits you already own.

3. Acceptable use

You may only process files you have the right to process, and only for lawful purposes. You must not use the service to violate any law or third-party right, to interfere with legal or regulatory obligations (including evidence handling), or to attack, overload or probe the service itself. We may rate-limit, suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe abuses the service.

4. Your files

You keep all rights to your files. We claim no ownership, we do not read file contents, and we retain nothing after processing (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your own originals — metadata removal is permanent in the copies we produce.

5. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". We work to remove all metadata that standard tooling can reach, but we cannot guarantee that every trace in every file variant is removed, and we are not responsible for what remains in unusual or malformed files. Verify sensitive files before sharing them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
